Updated Goverment guidelines
As the rules change we would like to keep you up to date with how we are operating
If you wish to visit us we are following the current government legislation
Please read the following information:
We kindly ask that you contact us to book a table to ensure we have space available
Please call 01743884234 to book
We will continue with table service if you are seated in the restaurant.
If you are sat outside then you must come to the bar to order. No tabs will be allowed for outside dining. Beverages and food must be paid for when once ordered.
We kindly ask the if you are inside that customers wear a facemask but it is not mandatory. Staff will continue to wear facemasks for ours and your safety.
Please be patient as there may be a small wait at busy times.
Hand sanitizer will remain dotted throughout the restaurant.
One way system will be removed.
Social Distancing
All we ask is that our customers have some social awarness and respect our other customers and staff within the building.
At busy times, those without prior bookings may be asked to queue and as much as we’ll try our best to get everyone a table, it may not always be possible, in order to keep everyone safe.
Cleaning
We want to reassure you that there’s regular cleaning going on in the pub. The tables and chairs will be cleaned after each customer.
At every step, we’ll be following the highest of cleaning standards throughout the pub and in the kitchen.
Bookings
Whilst we will be accepting walk-ins, customers must be aware that bookings will take priority and you may be asked to wait.
Service at table
We’ll do our utmost to keep a safe distance where possible when taking orders and serving your table and there will be strictly no ‘propping up the bar’.
You’ll notice some changes to the way we’re laying the tables. To reduce the ‘contact’ with cutlery, we shall be laying the table once you have ordered. The same goes for the salt and peppers, which will be cleaned after every use.
Space between tables
We wanted to reassure you that care and consideration has gone into spacing the distance between the tables and positioning of the chairs.
Menus
Menus will only be used once then recycled.
Bar service
Much as life usually revolves around the bar, please resist the temptation to pop to it, we’ll look after you at the table.
Cashless and tips
To reduce the handling of cash, we’ve gone ‘cashless’. We kindly ask you to use contactless wherever possible.
Little touches
The little touches that are often touched a lot) – may not be quite as prevalent just now. Things like magazines, kids colouring, toys, dog biscuits, leaflets – we’ve popped them away for the time being, we hope you understand.
Toilets
Toilets will be cleaned regularly and the numbers visiting them at any one time will be restricted.
Children and dogs
Much as they like to, please don’t let them wander and round the pub.
Garden etiquette
Our outside tables are not available to book, however a controlled queueing system will be in place at busy times.
We also respectfully ask that you don’t move tables around, they have been positioned with thought.
If you are feeling at all unwell, please save your visit for another day.
We hope you find all these changes reassuring and feel free to chat anything through with any member of our team when you visit.
