Updated Goverment guidelines

As the rules change we would like to keep you up to date with how we are operating

If you wish to visit us we are following the current government legislation

Please read the following information:

As of Thursday 24th September we will be closing at 10pm each evening. Last orders for food will be at 8.30pm and last orders for drinks at 9.30pm

All guests must have left the premises by 10pm

We kindly ask that you contact us to book a table to ensure we have space available

Please call 01743884234 to book

Once you are seated you must remain at your table unless you need to use the bathrooms or are leaving the premises. This will minimize any contact between other guests

All customers and staff must wear facemasks at all times. They may only be removed once seated at their table

Our team will be operating table service only. Please be patient as there may be a small wait at busy times.

There is sanitizer positioned at the entrance and exit of the building and we kindly ask that you use each time you enter or leave the building.

Social Distancing

As much as we could all do with a hug, please respect yours and others personal space by maintaining a social distance where possible.

We will be asking customers to wait at the door for a member of staff to take you to your table, and to sanitise your hands on the way into the pub. The reason for this is so we can take the time to explain how things work and to also keep an eye on the number of people we have in the pub at any one time. This is also the reason why we’re encouraging bookings.

Indoor gatherings should be in groups of up to two households (including support bubble). Outdoor gatherings of 6 people or less can be from any number of households. If your outdoor gathering is of 7 people or more then all should be from no more than two households (or support bubbles).

At busy times, those without prior bookings may be asked to queue and as much as we’ll try our best to get everyone a table, it may not always be possible, in order to keep everyone safe.

We want to reassure you that there’s regular cleaning going on in the pub; all of our team will be washing their hands every twenty minutes and sanitising ‘touch points’ every half an hour. The tables and chairs will be cleaned after each customer. At every step, we’ll be following the highest of cleaning standards throughout the pub and in the kitchen.

Whilst we are finding our feet we kindly request that you contact the pub to book a table. Whilst we will be accepting walk-ins, customers must be aware that bookings will take priority and you may be asked to wait.

Service at table

We’ll do our utmost to keep a safe distance where possible when taking orders and serving your table and there will be strictly no ‘propping up the bar’.

You’ll notice some changes to the way we’re laying the tables. To reduce the ‘contact’ with cutlery, we shall be laying the table once you have ordered. The same goes for the salt and peppers, which will be cleaned after every use.

Space between tables

We wanted to reassure you that care and consideration has gone into spacing the distance between the tables and positioning of the chairs.

Menus will only be used once then recycled.

Bar service

Much as life usually revolves around the bar, please resist the temptation to pop to it, we’ll look after you at the table.

Cashless and tips

To reduce the handling of cash, we’ve gone ‘cashless’. We kindly ask you to use contactless wherever possible.

Little touches

The little touches that are often touched a lot) – may not be quite as prevalent just now. Things like magazines, kids colouring, toys, dog biscuits, leaflets – we’ve popped them away for the time being, we hope you understand.

Toilets will be cleaned regularly and the numbers visiting them at any one time will be restricted.

Gift vouchers

For those of our customers who purchased a gift voucher just before lockdown if you could please contact a member of the team to discuss extending the expiry date.

Children and dogs

Much as they like to, please don’t let them wander and round the pub.

Government test and Trace Scheme

We will ask for contact details from a member of each party as per the Government steer to collect information to ‘Test and Trace’ if needed.

Garden etiquette

Our outside tables are not available to book, however a controlled queueing system will be in place at busy times.

We also respectfully ask that you don’t move tables around, they have been positioned with thought.

If you are feeling at all unwell, please save your visit for another day.

We hope you find all these changes reassuring and feel free to chat anything through with any member of our team when you visit.
